If you are a part-qualified Accountant with good people management skills, here is a great opportunity to further your expertise within Severn Trent Water - a FTSE 100 company with over eight million customers and a turnover in excess of £1 billion.

Working closely with our Cost Accounting Manager, you will lead a team that provides the business with high-quality cost accounting and reporting capabilities. As well as ensuring we produce timely and accurate figures for cost that can be used in our monthly and annual reports, you will be involved in identifying and investigating any variances against forecasted numbers. You will also have the opportunity to help standardise the processes we use, and to drive improvements across our activities.

At least part-qualified (or equivalent), you will bring good awareness of financial control, IFRS and regulatory accounting requirements. This is an environment that demands the ability to deal effectively with large volumes of accruals and transactions, so you will need excellent organisational skills. We'll also look to you to provide coaching to team members, and to explain often complex information to non-finance colleagues.
